The 2020 Pakman Awards was an event like no other. Due to the impact of Covid 19 on businesses the difficult decision was made to cancel the in person awards and in its place we broadcast a live virtual event. Plastic Pledge Award category was the only one of the 14 categories that remained open for entries. The category was open to the 125 Irish businesses who have signed up to Repak’s Plastic Pledge, committing to achieve specific objectives relating to reducing plastic packaging and increasing the recyclability of packaging.
The 2020 Pakman Plastic Pledge Award was streamed from Croke Park on the 9th of December. The awards were hosted by Anna Geary and Eamon Ryan TD, Minister for Environment, Climate and Communications and Minister for Transport was our special guest on the day and announced the overall 2020 Pakman Award Winner.
